investment in the University of Stirling
Research and innovation is central to achieving this vision. Working closely with partners, we can understand the challenges that businesses are facing and pioneer new solutions, creating high-value jobs and supporting greater productivity.
The Stirling and Clackmannanshire City Region Deal provides ￡22 million of investment for two research hubs at the University; ￡17 million for a new Institute of Aquaculture and Global Aquatic Food Security facility, as well as ￡5 million for an International Environment Centre.
This investment in world-class research infrastructure will enable University of Stirling researchers to further tackle some of the world’s most pressing problems, building on an established track record and placing innovation at the heart of a co-ordinated drive for sustainable, inclusive growth.
